Horses we have trained

It means a great deal to us when a horse owner or student takes the time to let us know how we're doing. All of the horses we've trained and students we've taught are like family to us and we love to hear how things are going. We thought we'd share some of our clients feedback with you.

Hush

I purchased Hush in the fall of 2005 from Diamonds Bluff Farm and I wanted to let you know how well we are doing. Hush received a 77% at his very first dressage show at first level and we are looking forward to an exciting show season in 2006. He is the perfect match for me, and I'd highly recommend purchasing a horse from Diamonds Bluff Farm. --Martha

I have sent two of my RPSI warmblood horses to Becky - a colt and a filly - to train for me since I was too busy working full time at two professions during 2004-2006, and could not devote the time required to get my youngsters started. I chose Becky for the task for two reasons. First and foremost, because she trains as I do. That is, she takes the time to genuinely develop a solid, respectful and loving rapport with each horse before she begins riding, and continues to develop that rapport while she is working with him or her.

To do a great job of schooling a horse, you have to know the horse, as each of them are so different from any others. Secondly, I chose Becky because she is a superb rider. She keeps her cool, no matter what, and she has guts. Sometimes you need nerves of steel to ride some horses, and Becky has that "cool". Additionally, her seat is spectacular, her hands are light, and her "feel" for the horse is meticulous.

I'd choose Becky Maticic to start any of my youngsters, in addition to having her ride more advanced horses in any competition. She can ride any of my horses --anytime, anywhere, at any level and prove both her mettle as well as the horses'. Becky can use me as a reference to her expertise and horse sense whenever she chooses. I'll happily give Becky my highest ratings as a horse trainer. --Judith A. Burns, owner/breeder

Dream Catcher and Fifth Element

I searched long and hard to find someone I would trust to start my difficult Oldenburg mare Dream Catcher, and when I met Becky for the first time I knew she had what it takes to work with my attitudinal, talented mare. I'm pleased to say that I could not have made a better choice. For me, finding the right person was even harder since I have always started my own horses and am very particular about the way they are handled and ridden.

Becky was able to help this mare develop a work ethic and teach her to enjoy her job. Becky was such a good match with this mare that they were champion at their very first hunter show and I was able to take her to her first dressage show after only 90 days under saddle and received a 67.75% from judge Ingrid Gentry. Feedback from our youngest students

Ella

We would like to take a moment to thank you. Stating the obvious, Ella is quite fond of you. Your riding lessons have honed her counting skills, "hey mom how many more days until we see Becky" and also help her learn the days of the week, "is it Friday Yet?"

The hospitality of everyone at Diamonds Bluff you, Jim, Caitlyn has made Friday evenings at the Bluffs a family event for us.

Your expertise, enthusiasm and eye for detail as well as your sincere affection of children and horses has helped clumsy shy Ella blossom into a confident little girl. Audra and Anna, Ella's sisters are next. --Jim & Cory Lucas.

Caitlyn

Caitlyn has been riding with Becky for two years now and it has been an amazing experience for her. She has had the opportunity to attend horse shows and hunter paces which has developed her confidence and ambition. We are thankful to Becky for letting Caitlyn help with the horses after school and on weekends and for being so generous with her time. --Nicky
